Let’s Be The Change is a registered 501-c(3) within the state of California. This was founded after a visit to a hospital in Nasiriyah, Iraq in 2019. The scene there was beyond heartbreaking, and the healthcare crisis the country is facing was undeniable. The hospitals in the region receive subliminal aid from the government, and rely on trafficking supplies through black markets and donations from private investors. Seeing the poor condition of healthcare institutions first hand, a vow was made to bring change and improve the circumstances of people in these marginalized communities to bring them to a closer state of equity. A vow to bring the average life expectancy within the range of the rest of developed nations. A vow to live in a world with reduced resource scarcities in these communities.
Our mission is to promote health equity and access to public health resources for all individuals. Through fundraising and strategic partnerships, we strive to close the gap in health inequity and provide resources that support the development and expansion of medical infrastructure and public health initiatives. Through calculated allocation, and putting the interest of the individuals in need above ours, health equity could be achieved. To achieve our mission, we will work closely with local organizations and community leaders to identify the most pressing needs and to develop strategies for addressing them. We will also be committed to transparency and accountability in all of our activities, ensuring that our donors and partners can trust that their contributions are being used effectively and efficiently. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need, and ultimately create change in the world.
At Let’s Be The Change, we have a developed understanding of the multifaceted challenges that affect underserved communities within the Inland Empire, specifically addressing the unique hurdles faced by unhoused individuals. In our upcoming campaign, our objectives are to attend to their immediate needs and to provide essential support that extends a lifeline to those individuals who are most in need.
During the month of December, we are going to be collecting non-perishable food items and new, or gently-used, clothing donations. Your donations can make a significant impact in the lives of these families. In addition to food and clothing, we are collaborating with Sahaba Initiative and assembling hygiene kits to ensure that essential personal care items are accessible to those in need. Any monetary donations made this month will help directly towards this campaign.
To make the contribution process as seamless as possible, LBTC is placing donation bins at various locations in community centers:
City of Knowledge School– Pomona, CA
Institute of Knowledge – Diamond Bar, CA
UCR MSA/ABSA (Meditation Room)– Riverside, CA
Ahlul Beyt Mosque – Pomona, CA
In our commitment to reach as many individuals as possible and establish accessible donation points, we are forging partnerships with different nonprofits, Islamic centers, and university clubs. By uniting with these organizations, we plan to increase our impact and provide nearby locations where a wide range of communities can contribute.
LBTC’s goal with this campaign is to alleviate some of the financial burdens borne by underserved communities and families in need. We believe that by uniting as a community, we can be the transformative force these individuals need. Your support holds immeasurable value in achieving this mission, and together, we can create meaningful change in the lives of those most in need. Let’s be the change they need.
